Finally, in the last sneak-a-peak we take a look at our first destination in India – Delhi!

The capital of India is home to more than 21 million people, making it one of the biggest metropolitan areas worldwide. Interesting fact: After Nairobi in Kenya, The Delhi ridge makes it the World’s second most bird-rich capital city.

Delhi is also home to the Embassy of Switzerland in India, which of course we will visit. Another corporate visit will be our main joint partner Blaser Swisslube, celebrating their 15th year India. Last but not least, we’ll visit Kohinoor Foods, one of the biggest rice producers and wholesalers in the world. Incredible as it may sound – 868,500 finest basmati grains flow out every second from Kohinoor factories.

Culture activities in and around Delhi include a tour of Old Delhi and a cooking demo. Another cultural highlight for the entire delegation will be the daytrip to the Taj Mahal.
The Taj Mahal was commissioned by Shah Jahan in 1631, to be built in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, a Persian princess who died giving birth to their 14th child. The Taj Mahal was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

With just one more week to go before we head off to India, we are looking forward to meet our delegation again tonight for one last briefing!
