After sleeping in, we started the day with a very delightful breakfast at our hotel. Strenghtened with an Indian as well as continental breakfast, we headed off to the «Gandhi Smriti – The Martyroom Site of Mahatma Gandhi» which is the house where Mahatma Gandhi spent the last five months of his life before he was assassinated. The house was surrounded by an amazing garden. Moreover, we saw Gandhis room and his grave. After that, we went straight to a restaurant where we had a great Indian lunch. Continuing our sightseeing trip we headed off to a Sikh temple. During the bus drive we were surprised by some cows blocking the street. Finally, we arrived at the temple where we immediatley found an available tour guide. He thaught us that Sikhism originated in Pakistan and that the Sikhs belief in ten Gurus. Prepared with a head cover and barefeet we walked around the Sikh temple. Although, the tour was very interesting, some of us were a little concerned to catch athlete feet (foot fungus:-)). The magnificent inside of the building as well as the pompous surrounding with a huge «pool» where people perfomed religious ceremonies, impressed us a lot. On the way out, we got an sight of the kitchen where they cook for 10’000 temple visitors every day.  Seeing the equipment and size of it, we were quite amazed by how they manage to do so.

After all the sightseeing, we went to Dilli Haat, a colourful and slightly touristic market with lots of scarfs, handicrafts and spices. The group spread out and used their negotiating skills. While some were quite successfull, others will probably need the two remaining weeks for practising!

We finished the day at the Kingdom of Dreams where we enjoyed an astonishing Bollywood show called «Zangoora – The Gipsy Prince». We felt like being in the middle of a Bollywood movie and some of us even participated in the ending scene. It seems that Focus India has some hidden talents!

After some snacks in the Culture Gully we headed back to the hotel were we ended the evening enjoing the warm night.
