After a brief overview of Accenture he explained in detail, why the Indian market is so important for Accenture and where its strength is rooted. After Mr. Volz, two employees of Accenture gave us examples of how different cultures are perceived in Accenture, and how the company is using its multifaceted workforce for an outstanding performance!
On one hand, there was Mr. Karl-Heinz Hirt currently working in Bangalore as an application enhancer, who stressed the challenges and opportunities of working with Indians. On the other hand there was Ms. Shweta Nagori, who is an onsite coordinator for Accenture in Switzerland giving examples of the differences that come up when doing business between India and Switzerland.
During the afternoon, Mr. Carlo Bernasconi from the Nuance Group took the listener on a journey, where he explained the airport retail business having rough edges and the importance of having a strong partnership. As a Swiss in India, he knows the cultural differences very well, especially if it comes to business and leadership!
Last but not least, Mr. Thomas Jenni from our sponsor Endress + Hauser Flowtec AG came up with valuable insights explaining their internationalisation strategy, and how they have built up their Indian business. As a rather small company E+H was able to show strong growth as a result of their global sourcing strategy including India!
