Last week the Project and the Communication Team had the pleasure to meet the Delegation of Focus India 2017.
Right at the beginning, the delegation had to show their spontaneity as the Communication Team wanted to know why they exactly chose Focus India, how they think they could profit from this project as well as why they think our theme “Digitalisation. Innovation. Transformation” is a concern of our society. At 6.30 pm the meeting was officially kicked-off by the Project Team. Nathania Setz started by presenting the exceptional pool of our partners supporting Focus India 2017. We are very pleased to have prestigious companies such as Accenture, Schindler, Sulzer, Leoni, Swiss Re, Burckhardt Compression, Blaser Swisslube and Setz Architektur on board. You can find more information about our partners here.
Afterwards, Katrin Schneider explained the procedure of the Preparatory Seminar. We will have a very diverse program with a cultural workshop, interesting speeches on digitalisation and innovation held by expert guest speakers and company visits. Eventually, the seminar will be closed by the so called Joint Friday which will be a gathering of all four International Student Projects of the University of Applied Arts and Sciences Northwestern Switzerland accompanied with a Career Fair.
The next milestone after the Preparatory Seminar is the On-Site Seminar. The delegation was very curious and excited to know our destinations which Denise Maeder revealed: the journey will start in New Delhi, and then continue to Bangalore, Pune and Mumbai. To make sure that our journey proceeds without complications, Denise also informed about the passport requirements, visa and vaccinations.
The kick-off meeting was officially closed by Roberto Duarte by motivating all members to take a part and contribute on our social media channels (@focusindia17). Everybody was warmly invited to join our Apéro. The Apéro, consisting of delicious Indian specialties, was prepared by Aggarwal AG Fine Continental Food. We enjoyed some spicy samosas and delightful mango chutney. This was also the opportunity to get to know each other better.
The event was very successful and we are very excited to have you all on board!
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Your Focus India 2017 Team
