Today we enjoyed day 2 of the Preparatory Seminar! After a brief introduction into the Indian banking system, Hannes Weibel from UBS Switzerland explained the strategy UBS is pursuing in India to the participants. Especially for international companies which are used to certain European banking practices, UBS can exactly serve those needs with a well positioned product portfolio.
After a short break, Mr Bert Rusch from Bartimaeus Project scoped out the social environment of India. The Bartimæus Project offers orphans, beggars and single mothers in India a way out of poverty, regardless of their ethnical or religious background. He gave us a first impression about what contrasts the delegation must expect when travelling through India!
The project team Anna Häuptli, Désirée Mozzetti and Gamze Usta then complemented Mr Rusch by sharing their impressions perceived on their preparatory trip to India!
Ram Rambhia from Sulzer Chemtech, one of our sponsors, concluded the day with insights about Sulzer in general, but also about implied cultural habits in India regarding leadership, motivation and loyality towards the employer. He shared his profound knowledge about India as well as about key drivers of India’s current and future labour force.
We are looking forward to tomorrow, when we will have speakers from the Nuance Group, our sponsor Endress + Hauser Flowtec AG as well as our main sponsor Accenture. Enjoy!
