The preparatory seminar of Focus India 2018 will be held from 19 – 23 February, for the first time at the FHNW Campus in Brugg. We are delighted to announce that we have attracted first-class speakers from various industries and organizations. Stay tuned for more information about the exciting opening speech of the seminar on Monday morning…

From Monday through Wednesday, the participants will receive inputs ranging from a cultural introduction to personal experiences in India of our partner companies such as Accenture, Sulzer Chemtech, Steiner AG, Bosch, or T-Systems. The preparatory seminar not only provides insights into this year’s topic “think DIGITALLY. act SMART. succeed GLOBALLY.” and doing sustainable business in India, but also gives the participants first impressions of what to expect during the on-site seminar in March/April.

On Thursday, the delegation will visit our partner company FRANKE at their international headquarters in Aarburg, Switzerland.

The Friday program is organized jointly with our sister projects Insight China, connectUS and exploreASEAN. In the morning, Marc Blaser, CEO of our Main-Joint partner Blaser Swisslube, will introduce the family-owned business to all international student projects. Another highlight on the schedule is the career fair, giving our participants the chance to network with our partners, as well as meet potential employers during the speed interviews set up by the present companies.

The seminar week will be closed on Friday afternoon with an interesting panel discussion about emerging technologies. The discussion including panelists ranging from FHNW students, to CEO’s, to members of the Swiss National Council, will be followed by a final aperitif together with all participants of the four projects.

We would like to thank everyone who contributes to the success story of Focus India. The project has developed greatly over time and we are excited about running the 13th edition of Focus India – together with you.
Thank you for your continuous and valuable support!
